At the very center we would find a large, circular structure made just right to accommodate the Free Barter Market. It would have a roof to keep the sun and rain out of the way. The sides would be open to allow spaces where participants could put their stuff. They might decide to have rings attached on beams positioned above posts where canvass hooks could be attached for temporary privacy.

Our community would have four roads, North Street, South Street, East Street, and West Street, leading to “Circle Street” around the market. The streets would have sidewalks on both sides. Visitors to the market would walk, ride bikes, use baby carriages, wheel chairs, and transport their stuff with battery-operated golf carts or horse-drawn wagons. This place where everything could be found to make modest lifestyles possible would become a great place to gather for conversation, games and bartering.

We would see farms, homes, shops, a Library, Bible School, and our
Meeting House that will always be open for worship – all within a short distance of each other for easy access by all members of this unique community. Many of those who provide services, doctors and others, would be making “house calls” when and where needed. Families would be happy, friendly, and busy doing many things to help themselves and their neighbors during daily projects that require their special skills.

When looking back to 1974, we learn that Tennessee Elijah was a gubernatorial candidate. He was advocating many concepts that fell
on deaf ears such as “computerized control systems” and “a space-age economy within a log cabin society.” Other complex ideas were brought to the attention of Tennesseans such as “The MCUSA Entertainment & Broadcast Center,” “JIGROP,” “Jesus Songs,” and a statewide “Music City Revival” in 2005. Since the Spiritual departure of Elijah on 19 March 2006, many things have been happening in his home state and around the world – much differently than might have been the case
had his messages been taken seriously.

It is now May of 2007, a time that Tennessee Elijah anticipated when making a statement years earlier: “All citizens of the United States have been instructed to evacuate foreign territories and return to their homes immediately – or no later than May of 2007. Professional or personal connections with those of other nations will be maintained only through Homeland Security Communications & Trade channels upon registration.”

Since there is no way of knowing what was meant by this advice from Tennessee Elijah, we can only assume that world events after this month will have something to do with “conditions” that could have been avoided had his messages been taken seriously.

Meanwhile, even though this might be the last month for certain Americans to enjoy normal routines, projecting plans into the future
is still something that Christians with an “eternal consciousness” are inclined to do. Until it is possible to actually design, and then create Amerijericho communities in all nations – before or after the coming
of Christ – we need to get started by taking a big step forward.

Community unity for the Body of Christ is a vital part of preparing ourselves for Heaven on Earth! In spite of unrealistic expectations by many professing Christians, once King Jesus is positioned on His throne in Jerusalem, organizations that are currently pandering to sinners will no longer be required. Since it is our duty to reach every nation with the “Gospel of Christ” before changes forced upon us prohibit teaching and preaching activities, we need to stop fighting among ourselves long enough to allow more time for reaching lost souls. It seems to me
that
Amerijericho is an idea worthy of consideration by anyone
who believes that these are the days leading to Armageddon.

Is anyone wondering what millions of “Christians” will decide to do if they are asked to join AFBM? Will they be too unfriendly to respond to invitations if they figure out that some participants disagree with how they interpret the Bible – or will they put differences aside? Will they claim to be too busy to involve themselves in this project if they think striving for unity is a waste of time – or will they have enough faith to try? Will we be looked upon with suspicion, giving doubters a false sense of justification when they decide not to cooperate – or will they assume that maybe God is behind this plan? Will a “competitive spirit” motivate them to go it alone rather than participate because they do not have complete control – or will humility and concern for “the least of these” prevail? Since this new project was not conceived by someone within their organization, will jealousy cause a lack of interest – or will they
do their best to assure the success of Amerijericho?

Time will tell how many “Christians” are willing to join AFBM – if complacency, selfishness or arrogance doesn’t cause them to simply ignore this opportunity! If we fail to see messages appear on message boards in the near future, and market advertising to promote member churches fail to appear on this web site, should we assume that God
had nothing to do with this project – or should we blame Satan? As
we know, “numbers” and “money” are the statistics that most people
in this wicked world use to determine success or failure – unlike our
use of “faith” that God considers important.

Meanwhile, as we move forward, the first step to turning dreams of
ideal communities into reality is to find volunteers with leadership capabilities. It would be nice to think that leaders can be found right here in Tennessee – as well as in every state in America. If we fail to encourage Americans to become members of AFBM, what do you suppose our chances for success will be in other nations? Would our failure mean that “unity for Christians” is impossible because too many people believe they are the only ones qualified to be a part of the Body
of Christ? Are the true children of God doomed to be divided eternally – or is this project going to succeed?

It is my honor to ask YOU to be a leader! Please read every word on
the Amerijericho and Free Barter Market web sites – and then offer suggestions on how to improve and refine this project. Once YOU do your best to understand our primary purpose, please use your skills, influence and resources to get a market started in your community.

YOU Can Make It Happen!

Unless YOU can come up with a better plan, find a place large enough to provide space for parking and bartering. YOU might want to arrange for a large tent or simply hope for good weather. YOU might want to contact ten or twenty local pastors from different denominations – asking church members to help pray, promote, and participate. As
a self-appointed leader, YOU would have complete control over all  organizational responsibilities for your AFBM market endeavors.

The question then becomes, How would YOU feel if YOU witnessed several hundred Baptists bartering with Catholics and Presbyterians during this special day? Would Methodists, Mormons, atheists from various neighborhoods, Pentecostal fundamentalists, and mothers with children who never attend a church be welcome? Would YOU get upset if a dozen or so agnostics showed up with a few Jews and Muslims? Are there any members out of the thousands of Christian and/or other religious organizations that YOU would rather not invite to your Free Barter Market? Maybe, other than striving for “unity” – this project might be an opportunity for true Christians like YOU and your pastor friends to be a positive influence among those who are not impressed with “disunity” in the Body of Christ?

Now that YOU are getting down to the nitty gritty, down where the rubber meets the road, down
where YOU are going to walk the talk, will
YOU get started right now if God helps?

Once your market project is history, let us know how YOU did it and how it worked out. Tell us about the good and bad surprises, and the things that people said. Share your experiences on our message board with comments and pictures. Maybe your huge success or failure will turn YOU into a wise teacher for others who haven’t yet made the first step forward. As we know, this is a big world where thousands of Christian leaders like YOU are needed if we are going to reach every nation. Yes, we do believe that YOU can make a positive difference in the lives of people if YOU make the right choices! We do believe that YOU can make it happen!

Are Amerijericho concepts confirmed by the Bible?

"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the BODY OF CHRIST: Till we all come in the UNITY OF THE FAITH, and of the knowledge of the
Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the
head, even Christ: From whom the whole BODY fitly joined together
and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to
the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh
increase of the BODY unto the edifying of itself in LOVE."

Ephesians 4:11-16

"Good Samaritans" in Amerijericho will show
mercy, compassion and love for their neighbors!

"And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying,
Master, what shall I do to inherit ETERNAL LIFE? He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and
thou shalt live. But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And
who is my neighbour? And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to JERICHO, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving
him half dead. And by chance there came down a certain priest that
way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. And likewise
a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. But a certain SAMARITAN, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. Which
now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that
fell among the thieves? And he said, He that shewed mercy on
him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise."

YOU Can Make It Happen!
If we roll the clock back about a hundred years,
let’s think of each ideal Amerijericho community
as a holy place where about 7,000 people live.
